KLEEN Collagen Type II contains a hydrolyzed bovine cartilage extract. Contains a naturally synergistic matrix of collagen type II peptides, glycosaminoglycans, chondroitin sulfate and vitamin C from calcium ascorbate.

Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation, which is important for the normal function of cartilage and bone. The capsules are made from naturally fermented tapioca and the pill jars are made from recyclable PET.

 

Collagen is the most commonly occurring protein in the body and makes up approximately 30 percent of the body's protein. It is a so-called structural protein that mainly occurs in supporting tissues such as in bones, muscles, cartilage and all types of connective tissue. Skin, hair, nails, tendons, ligaments and blood vessels are examples of connective tissue that gets its structure and firmness from collagen.

So far, 28 different forms of collagen have been identified in the body. However, types 1-3 are the most common, 90 percent of the body's collagen consists of collagen type 1. However, collagen type 2 is the most dominant in the body's joints.
