BEE POLLEN
Our bee pollen comes from bee farms in Europe and is of the highest quality.
Bees collect pollen from the flowers and plants in their vicinity and carry the pollen on their legs back to the hive. High in iron and thiamine. Iron contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Thiamine contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism. It is important with a versatile and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Since bees collect more than their colonies need, the beekeepers can make use of the pollen that the colony does not consume (you can only collect bee pollen a couple of days a week for shorter periods in April and May). You can eat bee pollen as it is or mix it into smoothies, muesli/granola and yogurt. If you don't like the taste, you can try mixing bee pollen with a tablespoon of honey to improve the taste. It is also possible to dissolve bee pollen in a glass of water or in a nice warm cup of tea.
Avoid use if you are allergic to pollen or other by-products such as honey. You can test if you are allergic by placing a small amount of bee pollen on your tongue. If you are allergic, you will soon feel irritation in your eyes, nose and throat.
Use: When starting with bee pollen, we recommend 0,5 tsp per day, then gradually increase up to 1 tbsp. Most people feel that 1 tablespoon per day is enough.
